Studio Sound Service, drawing on its extensive experience in high-end dubbing environments, worked closely with Dubbing Brothers to deliver tailored acoustic and architectural solutions that meet the strict demands of professional audio production.

A Modern Creative Environment

Beyond performance, the project also focused on redefining the visual and spatial experience of the studios. In collaboration with Jérôme Malaize, CTO of Dubbing Brothers, a new design concept was developed to replace the outdated aesthetic of the original spaces.

The resulting environment combines functionality with a warm, contemporary feel. Soft color palettes, natural wood finishes, clean lines, and indirect lighting create a flexible and comfortable workspace. Integrated shelving and custom interior design elements further enhance the balance between technical precision and creative atmosphere.

"I discovered Neumann speakers through my friends, who are sound engineers working on orchestral recording and mixing, and I wanted to bring that neutral sound to our studios," Jérôme shares. "We record and mix dubbing, and our engineers really appreciate this precision for the work we do in our studios and editing suites. We work on the sound of the voices and their spatialization from stereo to Atmos format in some of our studios, and this neutrality gives us excellent control over the sound when choosing reverb, EQ, or dynamic processing for the voices. At every stage of production: recording, editing, mixing, and finally quality control, this attention to detail is essential to delivering the best possible results for our clients.

Precision Monitoring with Neumann

Both dubbing stages are equipped with 5.1 monitoring systems based on Neumann studio monitors, ensuring accurate and consistent sound reproduction:

KH 310 monitors for the front channels
KH 120 II monitors for surround channels
KH 750 DSP for the LFE channel

This configuration provides the transparency and reliability required for critical listening tasks in film and television post-production.
