FOUR SEASONS HOTEL FIRENZE
Where Acoustics meets Luxury Interior Design
The design challenge for a hospitality icon like the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze goes far beyond technical performance; it lies in the ability to make acoustics and electro-acoustics completely integrated and invisible.
Specifically, the intervention at Palazzo Del Nero — part of the exclusive redevelopment of the complex — represents the perfect synthesis of our philosophy: innovation that respects history.
In a luxury context of this prestige, where Renaissance aesthetics and Made in Italy craftsmanship take center stage, our role was to ensure absolute acoustic comfort without interfering with the vision of the architects and interior designers.

Multidisciplinary Synergy in the Heart of the Renaissance
The work at Palazzo Del Nero involved months of coordinated design, seeing us collaborate side-by-side with mechanical and electrical engineers, as well as interior designers.
At Studio Sound Service, we believe that integrated design is the only way to manage the complexity of a luxury hotel:
• Custom acoustic treatment: we moved beyond the concept of simple acoustic panels. Every solution was studied ad hoc and integrated into the prestigious furnishings, using fabrics and materials selected to blend perfectly with the high-level finishes of the Palace.
• Mitigation of system noise: a hotel of this caliber demands silence. We worked meticulously to isolate and conceal every mechanical component, ensuring extremely low background noise levels, which are essential for the brand's sophisticated atmosphere.
• Concealed Audio Systems: utilizing K-array technology, we harnessed the performance of ultra-compact line array systems. The speakers were hidden above the vaults, within bar furnishings, or inside outdoor dehors structures, ensuring immersive sound distribution with zero visual impact.

From the "Sala delle Onde" to the “Conventino”: complex acoustic challenges
The project spanned the entire ground floor and common areas of Palazzo Del Nero:
• Common areas and dehors: from the reception to the Sala delle Onde and the semi-circular outdoor areas, where acoustic treatment ensures privacy and relaxation despite the simultaneous presence of many guests.
• The Conventino: the monumental heart of the project. A structure characterized by a central nave and an apse, which is naturally complex to manage. Here, we optimized speech intelligibility for events, banquets, and conferences, transforming a historic space into a high-performance, multifunctional audio-video environment.

The Result: The Sound of Comfort
Entering Palazzo Del Nero today means experiencing immediate well-being.
No cables, no machines, and no panels are visible; one only perceives crystalline sound and a rejuvenating silence. This is our contribution to the luxury world: high-level engineering placed entirely at the service of beauty and functionality.
