Studio Sound Service managed the acoustic and electroacoustic design of this intervention, which restores a cultural space of great historical value to Florence.

The approach to the acoustic design followed the philosophy applied to historic theaters: preserving and enhancing the original acoustic characteristics, avoiding alterations that would compromise its sonic identity. At the same time, support was provided to Archea in managing architectural innovations—such as the new "mirror" ceiling that redefines the spatiality of the hall—through the careful selection of fabrics, padding, and linings. Particular attention was dedicated to the design of sound insulation toward the new areas of the complex.

The project is completed by a cutting-edge electroacoustic system created in collaboration with K-array: an immersive multichannel system compatible with Dolby Atmos that makes the National Theatre a unique venue for audiovisual experimentation, where the tradition of the Italian-style theater meets the possibilities of contemporary spatial audio.

The complex also includes a Jazz Bar and a multipurpose space on the upper floor, further expanding the potential of this new Florentine cultural hub.
