701 Rooftop Bar Gallery Art Hotel - Lungarno Collection
The Rooftop Bar (at the Gallery Hotel Art) of the Lungarno Collection in Florence required an audio system that was extremely versatile: capable of offering subtle background music for daytime dining, yet also able to increase intensity (SPL) for lively cocktail bars and evening events, all while maintaining impeccable audio quality.

In an environment that transitioned from lounge to evening aperitivo, the challenge was to achieve a perfectly diffuse and homogeneous acoustic field. It was crucial to avoid the common issues of multi-functional venues: areas that were too loud and areas where music was absent.
The Studio Sound Service solution:
-
Defining the intended use: The project started by defining the intended use, anticipating an SPL range from a lounge level to a cocktail bar level.
-
High-Performance K-Array System: A K-Array system was selected, combining power and clean sound, ensuring that the acoustic experience remained faithful and undistorted even at higher volumes.
-
Diffuse acoustic field design: We utilized acoustic CAD simulation to define the placement and aiming of the speakers to create a uniform sound throughout the space. This ensures guests can converse comfortably while enjoying engaging music.
-
Precision tuning for versatility: The final calibration was essential for managing the different volume levels. Through our multi-microphone method (inherited from professional sound mixing), we equalized the system to ensure that, regardless of the SPL, the quality and consistency of the sound never diminished.
The Result:
The Rooftop Bar can now perfectly modulate the sound atmosphere based on the event. The system ensures that the music acts as an element of comfort and privacy at low volumes and as a catalyst for entertainment at high volumes, elevating the overall customer experience in this exceptional panoramic space.
