The Piazzalunga studio represents the perfect synthesis of our philosophy: uniting highest technical performance with a bold and personalized aesthetic. The project originated from a deep understanding and a creative exchange with the client, with the goal of translating their vision into a workspace that was not only technically impeccable but also a unique and stimulating environment.

The main request was to integrate a complex technological setup—an important mixing console, controllers, master keyboard, multiple racks, and various monitors - within a confined space. The challenge was dual: to ensure optimal acoustic performance for critical listening and, simultaneously, to create a functional space with a modern and sophisticated design.

Together with the client, we decided to abandon the classic canons of recording studio design, such as wood veneers, to explore a new language. The inspiration came from the world of luxury automotive design, specifically Ferrari, merging performance, technology, and style.

This concept translates into:

• Lines and Forms: We utilized taut, sharp, and inclined lines that define the space. The interplay of volumes and angled surfaces is not just an aesthetic choice but a functional element for the room's acoustic treatment.

• Contrasting Colors: The choice of red and black, iconic and powerful, creates a strong contrast that accentuates the geometries. The detail of the "stitching" between the surfaces of the two colors directly recalls the craftsmanship of a supercar's interior.

• Strategic Lighting: Lighting plays a key role. We favored a system of indirect lights, hidden within the architectural volumes, which create an enveloping atmosphere and make the forms "emerge" during work sessions. Direct lighting was relegated to a purely functional role.

Jokingly nicknamed "the studio's Ferrarino" during the design phase, this space proves that a technical workspace can and must also be a source of inspiration. The final result is a private studio where every detail, from space management to lighting design, was conceived to create an immersive experience. An acoustically precise, ergonomic, and visually captivating environment, custom-built for the musician's creative and technical needs.
