Marco Masini
An Homage to Florence: The Production Studio for Marco Masini
Read moreThe production studio we designed for Marco Masini is a project that is particularly close to our hearts, not only because of its proximity to our Tavarnuzze office but also due to its strong connection to our local heritage. Affectionately dubbed "Il Covo del Maso" (The Lair of the Maso), this space is more than just a recording room: it's the creative core of a multifaceted artist, a place where music, art, and identity merge.
The main challenge was to transform a domestic space with height and size limitations into an acoustically functional environment. Our design, developed in collaboration with Lapo Consortini (consultant for the electronic part) and cabling by Luca Ravagni, created a clean, modern aesthetic with light colors that visually expand the space.
The distinctive element, and the heart of the project, is the inclusion of the Florentine Lily (Giglio di Firenze), the city’s symbol, which we chose over the football club logo for its timeless elegance. This detail, accompanied by the white and red colors, imbues the studio with a deep sense of belonging that reflects Marco's soul and his connection to his Florentine roots.
The studio is designed as a versatile tool that supports Marco in every phase of his creative process, from writing demos and drafts to final production. It includes a dedicated Vocal Booth for isolated recordings, allowing for flexibility and collaboration. A place where, as Marco Masini himself stated, the productions "sound better than in the final studios."
