The Synthesis Studio is a room designed by Andrea Corvo for the finalisation of record projects. From Mix to Mastering.

Located on the Roman coastline, Andrea Corvo's studio was conceived as a personal, high-performance workspace dedicated to the final stages of record production, from mixing to mastering. 

The client's vision was clear: to create an environment with a minimal design that was also warm and welcoming, fostering concentration and creative flow.

The Studio Sound Service design philosophy translated this vision into an acoustic architecture where every element serves a dual aesthetic and technical purpose. Wood is the primary material, featured in the visible diffusers—integrated at Andrea's request—and in the distinctive interplay of wooden slats that define the ceiling and walls. These individual straight lines follow a soft, curved path, generating a visual rhythm that blends precision with harmony.

Lighting plays a key role. To avoid direct and fatiguing lights, we designed a system of diffuse backlighting, especially on the control room's front wall. This choice not only enhances the wood's textures but also recreates a feeling of natural, enveloping light, which is crucial for long working sessions.

The result is a technically flawless environment, optimized for critical listening with an Amphion monitor system, and simultaneously an intimate, personal space that fully reflects the taste and needs of its owner.

Andrea Corvo, a sound engineer with a degree from Saint Louis, began his career as a live sound engineer for maestro Nicola Piovani in 2004 and remained in the live concert business until 2012. He spent the rest of his career in various studios in Rome where he worked on recordings and mixes. With the construction of his own studio, he consolidated the idea of dealing exclusively with music finalisation and teaching new sound engineers.
