Acoustics and Design for Vocal Education

Vocality Studio is a perfect example of how high-end acoustic engineering can merge with warm, inviting design to create an optimal environment for vocal coaching and production.

Led by our Partner Engineer, Giulia Bondielli, the project originated from the specific need of the client, Daniele, for a space that was highly professional yet intimate and welcoming for students and collaborators.

The Challenge: Integrating performance and atmosphere

Our approach focused on defining the optimal layout for all areas—Control Room, Iso-Booth, and lounge spaces—ensuring the correct volumes for critical listening. The true challenge lay in integrating strict technical requirements with the client’s aesthetic vision:

• Critical listening and aesthetics: The integration of in-wall ATC speakers on the listening front and the strategic placement of a side door were managed with bespoke acoustic and architectural solutions.

• Material harmony: We utilized warm woods and high-quality, client-selected patterned wallpaper to ensure visual and material continuity across the Control Room, Iso-Booth, and lounge area. Lighting, including backlit wood for diffused light, contributes to a unique atmosphere.

• Visual connection: Small glazed surfaces and design coherence balance the distinct acoustic needs of the spaces while maintaining a sense of continuity and dialogue among the three environments.

The Vocality project embodies our "Made in Italy" philosophy: every element, from the custom wood diffuser to the linear slats, is balanced between its acoustic function and its aesthetic value, culminating in a high-performance studio that is also a pleasure to experience.
